The Borough opening day will be Saturday, April 21st with all teams assembling on Memorial field at 8:45 with a parade on to Steinhardt Field followed by T-ball games and then the Major game at 11AM followed by the Minors game at 1:15. Rookie games will be on Memorial field.

Until opening day we will have 2 meetings a month to cover all season preparation issues.

We will discuss field work schedule and the condition of Steinhardt Field. It is in much worse shape than I have ever seen it, mostly due to neglect last summer and fall. We have a lot of work to do to make it ready for safe use in April. And based on site walks completed over the weekend some of this work may have to be completed by a professional.

We also have to vote on uniform purchases. We have pricing in and are running out of time to place the T-Ball shirt order to have it back in time for the season opener. There is also the issue of replacment jerseys for the Major, Minor and Rookie levels to review.

Team numbers will be complete by Thursday and we will discuss our Major/Minor/Rookie teams and player evaluations. These evaluations will determine final placment of players for the upcoming draft.

I am still missing Little League volunteer forms from some people that wanted to coach, I need these forms and copies of your drivers license ASAP. The link to this form is on our website under the links section.

2012 Pre-Season Baseball Clinic

BOYS and GIRLS: AGES – 7-12 years old

DATES: February 25; March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

LOCATION: Memorial School Gym

TIMES:

Age 11/12 - 8:00 AM-9:15AM; Age 9/10 - 9:30 AM-10:45AM; Age 7/8 - 11:00 AM- 12 Noon

COST: Borough Residents $40.00 Per Registrant; Non-Borough Resident $50 Per Registrant

EQUIPMENT: Players should wear sneakers and bring their glove. If they have them bring a batting helmet and bat. All bats should be carried in a bat bag.

Sign-ups will be complete and we can discuss final numbers and teams. Coaching needs will be reviewed. We will discuss our Pre-Season Clinic and training for all coaches and 2012 Volunteer applications/background checks.

In addition to sign-up fees, there is a $30 shirt deposit for players in Rookie, Minor and Major leagues. The deposit will be returned upon the return of the jersey and a check is preferred for this deposit.
